Ecological Footprint

1. The higher incomes people would leave more ecological footprint than the lower incomes people because the rich people have the ability to buy more things and when they have those thing, for example, cars, you would use it and car use fossil fuel and it comes back to many things that we can reduce so people with higher incomes leave mroe ecological footprint than the people with lower incomes. Also, when you have higher incomes, you might be able to buy cars that use waste .

2. Things that were on the listed is very expensive for lower incomes people to buy them. I think if we increase a little bit money on every item we bought everyday, we would help people have those things by using the bunch of money that was spended other things and make it cheeper for people to buy.

3. The ecological footprints are made of things that are producing but if a lot of advertisement board would be produced, the footprint would increase because of a billion of it need a thousand of things to produce and also cars and fuel to transfer it and lots of other processes.

4. In the future, we would have a better environment and that leds to having a good life. Everyone would live longer, the dooms day won't come that early. Last of all everyone would know it and respect things not being crazy and wild.

A message from Mother Nature

1. What is the main point of this article?

- The main point of this article is the effects that global warming are costing to the earth's environment

2. Vocabularies:

- Drought- a period of dry weather

- Monsoon- any wind that changes direction with the seasons

- Dispute- argument about something important

- Perception- understanding

3. Weather- something that happens over a short period of time (rain, snow, etc.)

   Climate- something that happens over a long period of time (Vietnam: wet and dry climate)

    A record-breaking heat wave baked the entire eastern part of the country

5. These days in Ho Chi Minh City it rains everyday, and almost like heavy rain, so even some of the streets are flood.

7. My perception of global climate change is the Earth’s get hotter. If people don't want global warming to happen, they have to start to save the earth by doing little things like: save energy (use less), stop cutting down the trees, reuse the papers, water bottle, boxes, and more. By doing these little jobs, it saves the Earth a lot.

            “Oh My Gosh!” my sister gasped as she walked into the big airport in the United States. She was surprised by the size of it and she was only four at that time. She said that she can remember everything she saw that day like it was stamped into her mind. My sister and my parents were at the airport because my parents need to take care of a serious business in Vietnam. My sister wondered what will Vietnam looks like, could she fits in with the culture, what would happen if she arrived in Vietnam and how could she interact with people while she sat on the plane. The plane floated in the middle of the black space. She looks through the tiny window and she fells at sleep in no time.

            Finally, after a long sleep, she woke up in Taipei and they’re going to change the plane. “Taipei is so cool” my sister cried. “Everything here is so different then the United States” She continued. They went to some shops and buy gifts for my mom side and my sister flee away. My parents yelled at her. They go to the restaurant because my dad feels he needs something to fill his stomach. They went on the next plane and go straight to Vietnam. Vietnam and Taipei have even more differs than Taipei and United State. The two countries are so near but we have so many differences. My mom and dad settle here, born me, and my brother and then we were going to immigrate to U.S in one year because my dad wants me to be ready for high school. And this is the story about my family’s migration

CATTLETINRA ( my country's history )

This is the story of how Cattletinra form and what happened after it and what goes on until now. A long time ago, people just have the habits of throwing things where ever they go. The government always tell people to put trash in trashcan but they won't listen. Where ever they go, they just throw the left over on the side and anyone who want to clean it up, they can do it ,but normally, people are very lazy. That lead to a country with trash building and because of laziness, people just ignored it and it becomes part of their life. They have to live in trash. One day, an extreme tsunami comes out of no where and just punch the "TRASH LAND" away. Then, all the country disappear. If you go to any country there, and ask where is Viet Nam or U.S they will think that you're crazy. Now, they doesn't have those any more instead we have other lands and I will tell you one of it.

     This is what happened to "TRASH LAND" when the world is cleared, the trashes were washed away and they form and they form 2 Island called Cattletinra and salt, sugar. They were in the middle of lattetania which was the Pacific Ocean. These are our neighbors. Next to us and also our enemy is Unicorn Land. North East to us is Shape Land. And last, somewhere around there is Lollipop Land. No one in all the country have ever set sail and explore other places so that is what we know so far. Unicorn Land and Cattletinra have been fighting for a long period of time. Let's say that we have been fighting since we form.

     There are many reasons why we have been fighting for a long time. You may notice that between the two country, there were 3 small islands one of it have been mine since it form. That is island Salt, Sugar. We always fight, but it wasn't always the same reason. Sometimes, we fight for land, sometimes we fight for properties, and sometimes we fight for our rights.

     May be you were reading and wondering why did I say two island but in my map there were like four separate country, well these are the reason. When the lands got it shape, it looks like a cattle so it was named Cattletinra. We named the lands by looking what food got on that side the most. After that, Unicorn Land form. Wait, I think we form about the same time. Back to the history of Cattletinra, then as Unicorn Land comes along, we just fight and fight. After every fight, some of the land or sand will lost and many wars happened so lands go down, water goes up and walla, it makes many country separated.

    The last Empire of both country were friends but for some reason, they becomes enemy and they can't come up with a solution so they end up continuing the "EPICS WAR" Then we, the next king comes on and continue the throne. We always fight but we also BFFL so  even in school we have the "EPICS WAR" and also the "BFFL WAR" !!!

One thing really interesting from the presentations

I was really interested in Wendy's tradition and history because everything is so different from what I know about her. I didn't know that she was related to Nguyen Trai and that didn't supprise me because Everyone have someone fighting in the war but It's so fantastic to know it. The coolest thing in her presentation is the traditional book that was passed down by her grand-father. And I also didn't know that she changed her last name and the interesting story about how did she change her last name. A lot of people thought it would be so cool to be her becuase she have such an interesting history and culture. Too bad that she's a girl and she can't write her name onto the book or else, it would be so great for her.

My house in the United States

I live in San Jose and I come there every 6 months. I live on a small mountain, the weather there is really amazing, it's not hot but it's not cold. There's a lot of trees there, I love it, it's such so wonderfull. I have a lot of fun going there and we have a very nice view. At night, we can see the whole city. We often go for a walk every evening and look around. it's a perfect place to stay. I play a lot of sport in the back yard. and there's a camping place at the back and every night, deers comes to eat our grass. its really fun looking at them.

About ME

This is something you may need to know about me and if you haven't read this blog post, you might know more about me on MONDAY! First, my name if Mindy. I have both Vietnamese and U.S passport. I love do talk when I'm angry at someone or something or I may just yell... alone... in my room. I love to play sport like basketball, soccer, swimming so that's why my favorite subject is P.E ... I like math and I don't like math, I like math because sometimes it helps me but sometimes, it just seems boring but most of it is fun. I'm the one who like to hangs out and do fun things so I don't really like the main subjects, usually, I like P.E, art, ICT and those things that sounds fun. I hate HW the most but I still have to do it in order to get a good mark. I don't like tests and quizes because it makes me nervous and I don't want to get a bad marks and I try to study but tests and quizes always freaks me out. Like a lots of other students, I love music, I listen to a lot of different kinds of music but mostly, I listen to fast music. I don't like to listen to slow and sad music sometimes. And this is my 4th year at AIS
