NOVEMBER 2nd HOMEWORK
- Well first, so far, I saw 135 advertisements everywhere ...
1. How does advertising influence consumption?
+ The advertisement companies will never show the dark side of the product because they won't be able to sell the item as much as usual. When they make an ad, they will make it was best as it could be so they will never mention about the environment because at that time, they won't care anymore. And they way that they show he good side of the product, it make a big consumption.
2. Do you think citizens are sufficiently informed about the sustainability of our consumption habits? If not, how can we become more informed about sustainability issues?
+ I don't think that citizens are sufficiently informed about the sustainability of our consumption habits even if there's, it's only one out of a million citizens. There's a one easy way that I thought would be persuasive is to make advertisements that make people know it and suffciently informed about the sustainability of our consumption habits.
3. Do you think these advertising techniques influence what you and your friends purchase?
+ I think that these techniques put a big influence on me and my friends purchase because in school now, people especially the high grades students have a lot of new technology every month. It's been considered as a game, a hobby and a way to catch up with people. This phone makes you cool, this phone makes you hot, and a lot more. Even though we knew the negative effects of it, we would still want to catch up on the technology. The ad maybe didn't effect you, but when it effect everyone around you, you will be effected just by hearing people talking.
